Lilo's Favouritve Video

Lilo keeps asking to watch this little video of one of our cats, The Jet, over and over again. Who knew he could jump so high - that's like 6 feet!

Lilo's 1st Library class

So I brought Lilo to her first library reading group today. It's for 3-5 year olds and since she's 3 next month they said to join this one. Well let's say you can tell who the older kids are :)
Lilo is hyper and jumping, dancing and talking through the whole thing. The good or bad thing is she found a partner in crime. Bad since they egg each other on but good since I don't feel so bad since there is another hyper kid in the class :)
And Isla didn't help things by laughing at everything Lilo did.

My crazy girls - hopefully by the end of this class Lilo will be a little calmer.

New this week

This week has been very productive for Isla.

1. On Monday she got her 2nd tooth

2. On Tuesday she rolled over from her belly to her back. She has been rolling from back to belly for awhile and is pretty proud of her self once she's on her belly but then gets frustrated being there. So now she can roll back.

3. Also on Tuesday - she found her toes and is starting to put them in her mouth - too cute. Too bad it's getting cool out so she's starting to wear socks and not just bare foot anymore.

4. She really trying to reach for things. She has been grabbing at stuff for awhile but now she is reaching out to get stuff purposely, I'm glad I got my hair cut off :) I now have to watch when I'm carrying her and my dinner plate - she was trying to get my fork last night.

5. She had her 1st swing ride at the park, with Lilo pushing. It was so cute and of course I didn't bring my camera that day.

6. She watches Lilo all the time and Lilo loves the audience. We put new batteries in one of Isla's chairs and Lilo figured out how to put the music on for her and will dance in front of her. It's nice that they can entertain each other - so cute to see them interact.

Lilo is growing into such as cutie. She has been a dancing machine lately, last night she asked for music on so she could dance. She has this sparkly scarf that she dances with and makes Isla laugh and then the cats start chasing the scarf and then Lilo runs around and Isla laughs more. It's pretty funny.

She's also singing more - she does a great re-mix of Twinkle, twinkle little star with Baa, baa black sheep and a little ABC's. If I can figure out how to add video I have a cute one of Lilo singing "It's raining, it's pouring" while she's dancing with her new umbrella that Oma bought her. It was barely raining that day but I said when it was raining she could play with the umbrella - so the 1st rain drop and she was outside with it.

Lilo has also been better at letting me do her hair - I was allowed to braid it a few times. She might be allowed to keep this long hair after all - it's so pretty but she usually runs away as soon as she see the brush and says "No pretty"

As for me - I've been busing making stuff from the veggies in our garden and canning it. I've made yummy salsa that has zucchini it in and Carol's chili sauce, which tasted delicious over meatballs with rice. I made a batch of hot sauce and might try to make another. And yesterday I made hot pepper jelly. I'm still planning on making relish and pickles and maybe some roasted red pepper dip.

I've had a great time with our garden this summer. I've been meaning to write up a post of the garden with all the hits and misses as it was an experiment this summer. I've actually enjoyed the garden a lot more then I thought I would and so has Lilo.

And Rob is working - poor him :( but he has been managing to get a few rounds of golf in this fall so I think he's doing ok.

Isla's update

Isla had her 4 month check up and shots yesterday - even though she's already 4 1/2 months. I went to the appointment with both girls and Lilo was very well behaved which was good. She was even telling Isla that it's ok when she was crying.
So Isla is 15lbs 11oz and 25 inches long - she's on her growth curve and doing good. She's 75-90% for weight and 50% for height. She's a healthy looking baby.
And she cut her first tooth yesterday and I feel the one beside it coming soon. She was super cranky on Sunday - of course we were out at a friends place and she wouldn't stop crying - but at least now I know it was teething for sure.
So just a quick update for now.
