So Lilo's 1st day of school was today. She did great. She was very excited on the walk there. She kept telling me that she was so happy and that she loved me so much. There was no sad goodbye as she went in because she went in so fast that she didn't even realize that I wasn't behind her. I peeked in the window before I left and saw her looking for her name. I told the teacher on her way in that she goes by Lilo but I'm sure the name place was Lieselotte so she probably didn't see it. But she wasn't upset that she could find it just a little lost. I left since I know the teacher would help her out.

So Isla and I had a nice walk home - took our time, looked at flowers and played with a very friendly neighborhood cat, which Isla said bye to the whole block after we left.

After coming home and posting pictures on facebook, Isla and I went to the park before going back and picking Lilo up. It was nice to be out with just Isla, it's going to be a little weird for both of us.

When we picked Lilo up she said she had fun. I couldn't get much out of her of what she actually did - except that they read books, and made a necklace out of pasta. She said she gave it to her teacher. Our neighbor across the street has 2 little girls and one of them is in her class so we walked home with them. It was nice to talk to her mom as the girls played on their yard.

So we'll see what tomorrow brings.
