• Elliot and Jessica’s wedding in Kingston
• Visit the Ontario Science Centre
• Rob builds a swing for inside
• Isla starts to crawl and climb stairs

February

• Rob off on paternity leave
• Vone restructured from HBC
• Lilo’s 1st time skating
• Visit to Huntsville over Family Day/ Valentine’s weekend
• Rob finishes Vone’s studio
• Isla’s first words, “ditty dat” (kitty cat)
• Lilo’s asking, “Do you like dolphins?”
• Isla learns to wave

March

• Vone and the girls visit the Roth grandparents in Arizona
• Lilo’s quote, “Don’t eber, eber, you don’t sit on prickles” (cactus)
• Isla stands up by herself
• March 25th – Isla takes her first steps
• Lilo gets 5” of hair cut off
• Visit the Maple Syrup festival

April

• Isla’s walking
• Lilo’s explains, “coz, coz”
• The band 60 Cycle Hum play at Cryptic Canvas
• Kai Jimmo is born
• Isla’s 1st birthday at Mega Fun 4 Kids
• Isla blows kisses
• Lilo starts gymnastics
• Girls love playing outside and in the sandbox
• Visit the Easter Bunny at West Rouge CC

May

• Lilo loves her tricycle
• Isla starts to visit “melt down city”
• Vone finishes sewing 7 bridesmaid dresses
• Rob starts his new position at Ryerson
• Drive down to Florida for the Emerson family trip – it rained the whole week
• Isla gets more teeth (molars and eye teeth)
• Celebrate Poppa Bob’s 60th birthday at Disney World
• Visit Sea World twice in the rain
• Vone starts playing softball
• Night out @ the Madison Piano Bar for Rob’s 34th birthday

June

• Vone takes photography course
• Vone attends career training courses
• Visit the Brooklin Fair, Lilo’s 1st time on a Ferris wheel
• Lilo’s gymnastics ends, she completes level 1
• Plant veggie garden in backyard
• Rob starts his men’s softball season, the team makes it to the finals in their tournament
• Roth grandparents visit
• Toronto City workers strike
• Isla singing “twinkle, twinkle, little star”
• July 3rd annual Canada Day camping trip and 3rd year with rain
• Played at the CBC Kids day with tv characters
• Thom and Jessica’s wedding
• Plant front garden
• Isla trying to talk more, “shoe, bubble and kitty”
• Isla gets her bangs trimmed
• Isla trying to jump
• Flood in basement
• Drive to Florida with the Jimmo’s

August

• 2nd trip to Disney – with the Jimmo’s this time
• Very hot in Florida – lots and lots of swimming
• Car breaks down in South Carolina on the way home
• Garage sale at the Jimmo’s
• Weezer & Blink 182 concert
• Took rail off Lilo’s bed
• Isla has mastered the stairs
• Vone works at TGMA golf tournament
• Isla is obsessed with shoes and babies

September

• Rob drives down to South Carolina to pick up our car – 4 weeks later!!
• Labour Day BBQ
• Check out the Air Show
• Lilo starts Junior Kindergarten at William Davis
• Lilo’s 1st dentist appointment and Vone & Rob’s 1st with Dr. Drew
• Weekend in Huntsville
• Lilo runs in Terry Fox run at school
• Isla saying “hi” to everyone when we walk to and from school
• Isla is opening doors and talking more and more
• Vone’s big birthday surprise – tickets to see the Watchmen

October

• Lilo and Isla start swimming classes
• Lilo starts gymnastics
• Greg Cory’s 30th birthday party
• Maddie’s 2nd birthday party
• Thanksgiving in Kingston with the Emerson grandparents
• Roth parents visit
• Lilo’s 4th birthday – cupcake decorating and killer piñata
• Watch Andrew and Ian in Huntsville while Janet and Drew were away
• Girls dress up as butterflies for Halloween
• November Andrew and Ian spend 3 days with us in Toronto
• Perogies day with the Evans
• Rick and Karin visit for a night
• Isla swim class is over – every week she just wanted to sit on the edge and play
• Lilo’s gymnastics is over – she completed level 2
• Emerson grandparents visit
• Lilo is unbeatable at Wii sword fighting
• Isla loves to colour

December

• Lilo’s 1st winter concert – sings “What can you do in the Winter?”
• Lilo’s 1st parent-teacher interview
• Lilo is still loving school and loves to practice writing letters
• Kids Christmas party at the Evans
• Christmas day was just the 4 of us, great dinner and watched the movie Up
• Christmas part 2 in Huntsville over New Years
• Cheered on the Olympic torch in Huntsville
• Isla does a somersault
• Lilo stays up dancing well past midnight on New Years
  

So we say goodbye to 2009 and see what 2010 has for us. It should be an interesting year.
