2 months old already

What's new with Isla

• She's getting big - 11lbs 11oz at her 2 month appointment. A full pound heavier than Lilo was at that age.


• She’s cooing and laughing.


• She loves her play mat and mobile. She thinks the characters on her mobile as very funny and will lie there for 10-15 mins very happily while I get something done. She has longer happy awake times. She loves to smile.


• She has much more body and head control. So she can sit in your lap and isn’t so floppy.


• She rolled over to her side and loves to kick around.


• She's moving around in her crib - when I came in this morning her legs were between the bars of the crib.


• She starting to look more like herself. Isla and Lilo as a baby look so similar but now you can start seeing more differences. Isla has a rounder face and thinner lips and Rob's nose and very cute :)


• She is still a great baby. Sleeps a lot still but when she is awake she is happy.
  Evening fussy hour is getting better - most days.


• She has been sleeping better at night – only getting up once, which is nice (or last night it was twice). I’ve even gotten a 6 hour stretch once.


• She's chewing her fist all the time and just started taking the soother. I'm happy that she's taking the soother if she's going to an early teether like Lilo was.
