Updates

Ok - I know I haven't posted in ages. So here's a bit of a run down of what's been happening.

Lilo
She loves school and is excited to go everyday. She already has homework. She brings home a book that she has to read to us. She's working on the reading - it's more looking at the picture and then trying to figure out what the words say. But it's a start.

- Back in September they had a Terry Fox run at her school. They had 2 kindergartens paired up with a grade 5 student and then they ran around the field about 6 times or so. She loved it.
- She has started swimming lessons and gymnastic this fall.
- She is not napping as much as she used to - as I hear her coming down the stairs now after not napping. She will usually nap about 2-3 times a week.
- She still loves playing on the computer and drawing.
- And the big news is that she's now 4!! She had her forth birthday last weekend. I posted a few pictures of her party on my other blog here.

My parent bought her a pinata, which we found out is an outdoor activity for older kids :) The kids had fun trying to open it but when they weren't getting anywhere, Rob went at it with a baseball bat and candy flew everywhere.

And Lilo's big present was a big girl bike. She looks so grown up booting around on it.

Isla
-It's been fun spending time with just her while Lilo is at school. There is a playgroup at the Community Centre a few times a week that we try and get to. Isla is really good with the other kids.
- She is also talking a lot now. She can really express herself so you know what she wants. It's cute to hear.
- She still loves shoes and boots; and it's funny to see how good she can walk in heels already.
- She also loves babies, she's a good little mommy.

- Isla is also taking a swim class with me. The water is cold and she's more interested in playing with the toys they have than swimming but she's getting used to the water so I guess that's what counts.
- She loves to point out airplanes and all the squirrels we see.
- She also is enjoying colouring but can't be trusted with crayons or markers, or we will have missing tips - they are tasty. I've found that pencil crayons are the safest.
I have more birthday, Terry Fox run pictures on facebook if you want to check them out. Rob has also posted pictures of the Halloween party that the 2 of us, with his sister and brother-in-law, went to.
All for now.
